Region 4

BGSU’s high-tech facility welcomes us

Coming up with story ideas that engage readers was part of what these OSMA attendees did in “Story Ideas Often Overlooked,” as session at the Region 4 workshop three years ago at Bowling Green State University. Region 4’s fall workshop at Bowling Green State University Tuesday, Oct. 8 will again be in Kuhlin Center, home of the School of Media and Communication, a $24 million expansion and renovation. Hands-on sessions and additional learning opportunities will be even more exciting with “collaborative and technology-enhanced spaces,” according to the school’s website.

Plus students and advisers will have sessions tailored to their needs by letting us know in advance what will help them most. On the registration form, indicate topics you would like to explore, and we’ll work to find great instructors to help you with those areas. This is a smaller, very “user-friendly” workshop.

Plus many students can do this for free. Yes, for free. The first 100 students to register will have their $10 registration fee waived if they are willing to share their contact information with BGSU’s Office of Admissions. That office’s generosity is making this possible.

Check out more information on the Step-by-Step form and the registration form available now. Be sure to renew your OSMA membership. For free registration, fill out this spreadsheet. Everything must be received by Sept. 20 by mailing or scanning and attaching to email for OSMA graduate assistant Lyndsey Brennan
